Korean Drama ; Goblin / Guardian : the lonely and great God

MIO TV aired the entire series over the Lunar New Year - I managed to watch them all YAYY

I must say, it's one of the better movies - not by my standard, but also supported by the movie having won many awards.

I wasn't aware that this movie is a MUST SEE - I tuned in because it was a series marathon and I always do prefer to watch it all in one sitting without having to wait weeks for the finale.

The story line, is a reminder that for every deed done in our lifetime, we leave a trail.  We have to answer for each decision we make, especially the bad ones.

The GOBLIN became one, not because he did not serve his King well, but because, following instructions or not, many died in his hands - that alone is sin.  He had to atone, forced to atone, reborn as immortal in the human world - watching people around him die, as he lives on.

The GRIM REAPER in beliefs, became one because he took his own life - perhaps caused it as well ie total disregard for life.  So he lives on, forever, to atone for that.  He doesn't have memories, emotions and no choice.

In the depth of sadness, there is the DIVINE - GOD as we know Him.  Full of compassion only after we realise our wrongs.

As I immersed myself in this series, I remember what life represents.  That we need to live our life to the best of our ability.  If we don't, there is pay-back and it's never 'pretty'.  In this world where people step on toes to get ahead, GOD is often forgotten.  People who do well think they are GOD.  People who believe in GOD are trampled upon and used.

But that is the way life is these days.  Money is the new GOD.
I would like to see these souls, in that tea room....when they realise, they chose wrong.

A good deed here and there, a kind word here and there.
That's all it really takes to brighten another person's day.
Yet, money worshipers forget that, since the less fortunate, is not deserving of kind thoughts and deeds.

This drama also takes us to Quebec, Canada.  I had friends who studied there, but not in Quebec.

The one view that is worth mentioning is the Battlefields Park.

If anything, I would like to visit this site sometime.

I'm sure Korean Drama fans would too - to be there and just soak in the moment that perhaps while there, we will reminisce and promise to do better in all the tomorrows that we encounter.

Again, excellent series.  Not just for die hard Korean Drama fans, but for all.
