Korean Drama - My Daughter Seo Young

As a K-Drama newbie, I chose to watch this series because of the lead actor Lee Sang Yoon.
He has a very heart-wrenching face, adorable smile and he does act very well.  He has the ability to actually look angry, confused and hurt on screen.

I didn't care much for how they dressed him in this series since this isn't a recent screening.

I get the storyline but I think the script was over done when the protagonist lady kept up her iron-clad appearances when clearly, if it was reality, it wouldn't have been possible really.

K-Dramas remind me that once upon a time, men were like their lead actors....strong and sincere.
Somewhere along the way to the 21st Century, everything took a turn for the worse.  Men behaved like cheap sluts which left very bad tastes on the tongues of most women.  So we get a higher divorce rate and a higher proportion of women who prefer to spend evenings with the K-Drama team and dump the failure of men in society today.  Perhaps it's our (my) way of keeping myself from becoming jaded about reality.

Men these days, don't have words or thoughts that are even worth a penny.  They lost their ability to be honest people just because they believed that once you are born with a sack between your legs, you can do whatever you want and forget about sincerity in the simplicity of life.

Tell a failure of men to do that and they get lazy on you.
Tell a failure of men to not trouble themselves, they get fat and useless.
Tell a failure of men to pick themselves up and do better, they grow pig-headed.

So watch this series because it reminded me that for the 98% of men who are just people in briefs, there is at least 2% out there somewhere, who were brought up well and humbly.  We all need to be reminded that it may well be that every corner we turn has a failure of a male species, but if K-Drama script writers can write about the 2%, then they do exist - perhaps just not where I reside.

THAT's OK.
After too many years of disappointments, I'm now at peace and happy with how things have turned out.  I may have sounded bitter in this post, but I'm not....I'm merely stating a painful fact.

I wake up each day and I look forward to watching the birds flying around my plants for nectar.  I hear them twittering about and it's heaven.
