Designations

When a person starts up a Company, the designation of Director will be free for their use. What's shocking is when such a Director, cannot even write a comprehensive letter, which makes grammatical sense.
Perhaps, Registration Boards, should also set aside some requirement for such people to at least have some basic skills in language. It's disgusting to know a person is a Director of a Company, yet having very lame writing skills - I am sure, many towkays, not fluent in the English language, will hire some secty or PA, with good writing skills to deliver the message. After all, it is telling on the organisation and the person.
I'm not saying that everyone must have had a distinction in English language in school, but at least some sentence structure should have been learnt. When a badly structured letter goes out, it doesn't just give a bad impression, it has the tendency to fail in delivering the content or intent.

I think there must be some segregation in giving out designations.
There are some people so hard-up to be a director, they would set-up a company, and try to start a mini-dictatorship with language flaws. My ex-partner is the classic example. Just because she started a company, she's flaunting her designation all over, sending badly written emails with poor sentence and grammatical structures. The cream of this cake is, she thinks she's brilliant. What she needs is a shrink. It's so embarassing.
